As I love high rise condos I am always checking out the news on the Buckhead Condo market to find out what’s new. I found an article recently about the Astoria at Aramore condo development (2233 Peachtree Road, NE, Atlanta, Ga 30309 in Peachtree Hills neighborhood near Peachtree Battle) and their spa-style bathrooms. Yes, you always hear that the kitchen is the most important room but don’t underestimate the value of a nice bathroom. Their master bathrooms are labeled “spa suites” and contain a separate shower with frameless glass shower doors in additional to the jacuzzi tub. The bathrooms have absolutely beautiful tile floor to ceiling tile throughout, granite countertops and top of the line fixtures that can possibly make a trip to the bathroom like a trip to the spa.

Cycling in Buckhead

I want to say thanks to our webmaster Brett for creating the wonderful cycling caricature of me on this page. As anyone who knows me knows, I love cycling. If you are new to Buckhead, or simply have not looked around too much we have some great places for cycling right here in our neighborhood. Here are a few places to ride (and you can combine them all as well) and each of them involves travelling through some of the nicest neighborhoods in the city. First, there is Chastain Park which is located just off of Roswell Road. Next, there is the Capital City Club which is near the intersection of Peachtree Road and Club Drive. There is also Memorial Park which can be reached by taking Peachtree Battle to Northside Drive. For those of you who want to ride some hills you can take Habersham from the Chastain Park area to Peachtree Battle on your way around Memorial Park. Happy riding out there and thanks again Brett.

Twelve Hour “Fun” Run

This morning some of the crazier residents of Buckhead and Brookhaven are participating in a twelve hour fun run. Yes, I did just write the phrase twelve hour fun run in the same sentence. The runners, joggers and walkers are planning to do their thing from 7:00am to 7:00 pm in the Brookhaven Heights neighborhood (located at the corner of Peachtree Road and Colonial Drive behind the shopping center containing the Kroger and Starbucks). It is a loop course that is mostly on Standard Drive and Pine Grove Road. The organizer is planning to go the full twelve hours and he has encouraged everyone to come run, walk or jog with him for as little or as long as they would like to participate. Come on out for an hour or two or twelve.
