Buckhead CID Hires New Executive Director
The Buckhead Community Improvement District has named Jim Durrett as executive director. Durrett, who was raised in Buckhead and attended Westminster Schools, will bring vast experience to the Buckhead CID. Durrett spent the last ten years as executive director of the Livable Communities Coalition which is a group of numerous civic organizations focused on promoting responsible growth of the Atlanta area. Smart growth is focused on the development of urban communities that are “walkable and bikeable” and are well served by transit. Durrett practices what he preaches and currently commutes by bicycle and MARTA. We wish him luck in his endeavors in making Buckhead an even better place to live and work.
