Online Middle School Courses
This is pretty cool. Middle school students in Buckhead and throughout Georgia can now enroll for online core and elective classes through a Department of Education division called the Georgia Virtual School or (GaVS). A link to the site follows: www.gavirtualschool.org.
All of the courses are taught by Georgia certified and highly qualfied NCLB teachers. They offer a complete middle and high school curriculum including math, sciences, physical education, languages arts, socials studies and numerous elective courses as well. Additionally, they offer advanced placement (AP) and other college prep courses. First quarter registration ends August 12 and second quarter registration ends October 14 so don’t wait around to take advantage of this great learning opportunity.
